pefromance night

use about to go on stage
On Friday the 18th we performed our bhangra dance to a live audience. We opened the second half. Also that night I was singing in choir and I did a solo performance which was singing and playing the piano. The song was, your song by Ellie Goulding, the reason I picked this song is because it suites my voice and it was easy to learn on the piano. I think this went well however I did make a couple of mistakes because I was nervous. In choir we sang 'rhythm of life' and 'say a little pray for you'. This went well I made no mistakes. I enjoyed performing both of these acts but I was still really nervous about the bhangra dance. When I went back up to music I quickly got changed did my bindi dot and make up, sorted out my hair and put on my scarf. Before I knew it was time to go on stage. I wasn’t on to the second part of the song so I was standing there really nervous but when I went on I smiled the whole time and put all my effort in to the dance. I did all the correct dance moves but I was early on one of them but I don’t think it put me off. I got a merit for that bhangra dance which made me really happy as I usually get a pass. I prefer bhangra to dv8. If I was to improve anything I would of stayed on my toes more because that’s what your meant to do in bhangra dance.

  1. Well done Laura-Anne, you demonstrate a real enjoyment of the Bhangra element of the course and I am also pleased to see you performed in other pieces too, like singing and piano playing. What is it about Bhangra you enjoyed so much more than DV8?
